Shadowed Truth: Consequences of the Wish

After all... I've always been an albino freak anyway. Now I'm just a little more different than before. And besides... I'm more like a Hylian... Like Link...

Okay, you know how in the Minish Cap manga, when you see Minish Vaati, he looks a LOT more human than his appearance does in the game, which looks like a rodent? Well, what if the wishing cap is the reason for the discrepancy? Minish Vaati looks a bit different from other Minish/Picori anyway in both the manga and game, and seeing as he became a Hylian Sorcerer with his wish, it's perfectly logical to think that maybe that had a permanent effect on his body.

Note: I always thought the feather thing Forest Minish have is a tail, and seeing as I'm pretty sure Ezlo mentioned living in a forest, it's safe to say Vaati's probably a forest Minish too, especially judging by his clothes in-game and in-manga. I gave him a more human-style tunic/robe here, though... Basically I was just simplifying his costume because the focus here is on his body, not his outfit. Anyway, in my mind, Vaati has a tail. Now for the differences... In my fanfiction, Shadowed Truth, at least, here's the breakdown:

Before the cap:

Very pronounced snout, elongated quite a bit; mouth not really 'visible' in side view unless open due to its position on the face and nostrils on the sides of the nose. Long, droopy 'animal'-shaped ears; mouse-like, almond-shaped eyes without whites. Four fingers per hand, three toes per foot.

After the cap:

Shape of head has changed entirely, becoming less rodent-like and more reminiscent of some sort of pixie/fairy-creature and the nostrils have moved/aren't as prominent/obvious. T-shaped marking remains on his cheek and his ears, though still long and downward-pointing, have taken on a Hylian structure. His tail is larger/more defined and he now has five fingers per hand, four toes per foot. His hands also seem less claw-like. Finally, his eyes are, though still almond-shaped, more Hylian in appearance and now have whites and a more defined pupil. His hair seems to have lengthened a bit as well...

EDIT: Actually, his hair seems longer because of his now-shortened neck and differently-shaped head. It probably did still grow a bit, though...

I'm toying with the idea that Vaati is also no longer invisible to adults because he's essentially become a hybrid being rather than pure Minish or pure 'Hylian'.

...Is the background too distracting...? ^.^; Umm, anyway, please please please comment... I'm trying to psyche myself up to re-write Shadowed Truth and would like some encouragement, please.

I don't own LoZ, but my fanfiction's plot is my creation and this picture was drawn by me, so it's mine, too...
