Demon of 'Loss' - The Fell Pixie

Sorry about the blurriness... ^.^; This was originally just a sketch (which is why it's on looseleaf), but I liked it so much that I colored it. Only one of Arla's wings is drawn in because they're a pain to draw in general, but she does in fact have two. Her appearance is supposed to give off a bit of a mixed signal- you can interpret her as having ANTENNAE and BUTTERFLY WINGS, or as having HORNS and CLAWS. Alternately, especially when she has the skirt off and you can see her legs, you can sort of see her as a mermaid or sea-goat (cough CAPRICORN cough).

Also this is her post-finding-out-she's-an-elf form, so she's probably hiding some kind of green crystal under her sleeve or skirt... Yes, her form changed shape after finding that out. Mainly because I like her original design just as much as her current one and it allows me to showcase her growth as a character. ...Because her pre-elf form puts a lot more emphasis on what exactly she lost. *skirting the mature warning threshold, shutting up now*

Btw, that symbol on her skirt was made/designed/drawn for her by Arelv/Calico/Calypso/Calico&Calypso, and him making a new sign for his weird little language for you is pretty much the hugest compliment you can ever get from him. It's pretty much a combination of about three-four separate symbols, which when put together create multiple meanings. The four skinny lightning-bolt arcs represent a soundwave ('noise') on their own, and the thicker lightning-bolt arc cutting through them adds 'silence', making the full spectrum for 'sound'. The lightning bolt at the bottom of the symbol is similar to the pair tattooed on Arelv's neck and is very straightforward, representing 'lightning'. The rest of the symbol is a representation of Arla's demon wings, given the meaning 'pixie' by Arelv. The soundwaves, attached to the wing, gain the additional meaning of 'claws', too. :3 ...I really need to stop making complex designs like this; it's way too fun to come up with symbols and meanings and stuff.

...Notice that Arla's a lot plainer here. I added a lot more details to her in the group pic using my art program and tablet...

I'd talk about Arla's backstory and stuff, but A, I'd probably have to put a warning on this pic if I did, and B, I wanna post more stuff so instead of blabbing for hours again I'll just end here.

I will say that she was a singer and that she likes Thomas, though it's more 'big sister' than 'crush' due to Arla's backstory and the huge age gap- Arla was a young woman- in her early 20's tops, 14 or so at LEAST- before becoming the Fell Pixie to begin with, and has been around for at least 60 years (maybe even over a hundred) as a "demon", whereas Thomas was, like, maybe 10 when he became the Fickle Thief and has only been a "demon" for ten-fifteen years or so.

...I may have to make a folder in my Gallery just for these kids soon...
